In 1993, my adventure in Early Childhood Education began when I graduated from The University of Maryland at College Park with a Bachelor of Science/Early Childhood Education. Little did I know that over the next 15 years, God would place me on every spoke of the wheel in education. Over the next 15 years, I served as a lead teacher, administrator, financial director, and director. Many times, I wondered why he blessed me with each of those positions, each one teaching me about the many awesome dimensions of education. In May of 2008, the answer was revealed, when I was offered the chance to serve as the Early Childhood Director of Messiah. I am very blessed to be part of Kids’ Creek Preschool, and my hope is that I use all of the talents and knowledge that I have acquired over the years, to serve God’s precious little ones and their families. I am blessed to have the support of my husband, Chad, and my two children, Katie and Connor. I am excited to see what God has in store for me here at Messiah.

I am a 2006 graduate of Western Michigan University. There I obtained a BA in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood/Creative Arts & Science. My passion for teaching has lead me in many directions with many experiences. I was born and raised in Gaylord, MI and am the oldest of five children. In my spare time I love to read, travel and spend time with my family. I was married in June of 2006 in Mexico to my beloved husband, Michael. My first teaching experience was in Kalamazoo, MI where I completed an 18 week internship with the acceptance into the Urban Program. The Urban Program was designed to teach up-coming teachers to deal with poverty stricken students and the challenges in teaching. I have tutored, taught summer school in Saginaw, MI and taught in numerous classrooms throughout Mid-Michigan. I have also had the opportunity to go over seas to Shanghai, China during the summer of 2008 and teach in all subjects to a multi-lingual class of kindergartners. The best is yet to come; in 2007, I was asked to become part of the Kids’ Creek Preschool team and accepted without a second thought!

I went to Kids’ Creek Preschool when I was a child. I then attended St. Johns Lutheran, Valley Lutheran and Bullock Creek High School. In 2005, I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science/Education and minor in Early Childhood/English/Science. I met my husband, Adam in high school. This year we will celebrate six years of marriage. We currently have two children, Tyson and Kaelyn. I enjoy spending time with my family, teaching, reading and scrap booking. I enjoy teaching a variety of subjects in my classroom: ABC’s, social skills and most importantly a foundation of Jesus Christ. Currently I teach a 4 year old class and next year I am looking forward to being the Together We 2 teacher.

I started working at Kids’ Creek preschool in August of 2000. Before my adventure there began I ran a day care in our home. I have two beautiful daughters that both attended Kids’ Creek Preschool and a great husband. We are members of Messiah, CMA and love riding our Harley. In my spare time I like to read and sew, but most of all I love to spend time with my family. I am so blessed to be part of the Kids’ Creek Preschool team!

Mrs. Legleiter I started volunteering at Kid’s Creek Preschool in 2007 and have helped throughout the years. I officially started subbing in January of 2011 and was overjoyed with the offer of a part-time position as an aide in the three year old program. This has sparked my love of children and made me want to further my education with an early childhood curriculum. I will be starting my CDA at the end of August and completing it just before Christmas 2011. I have helped coach Odyssey of the Mind, soccer, and basketball. I have been involved with numerous school events such as reader’s corner, and publishing center. I am a mother of five and grandmother of one. My beloved husband Tom and I have been married for 32 wonderful years. Our family passion is motocross where we race every weekend from March to November and when the winter hits we travel out of state, nothing can stop us!

Mrs. Fauver I am a former Kids’ Creek Preschooler, who later attended Midland Public Schools.  I graduated from Midland High School in 2008.  After graduating, I enter college wanting to be teacher.  I have been working on my Associates in Child Development, which I will soon finish through Bay Mills Community College.  Being a teacher is the best job, children are so much fun.  Other then working with children I love to spend time with my family and friends, sew, cook and just relax.

Mrs. Ryan My name is Lisa Ryan, and I am delighted to be a part of the Kids’ Creek Family. I have spent the last 25 + years working with and around children; they are my life’s passion. My husband Joe and I have been married and living in Midland for the last 20 years. We have four children; two boys, Joey (17) and Brandon (15) attend Midland High, and our twin daughters Kayleigh and Kurstin (12) attend Northeast Middle School.
My previous experience as a lead teaching for both a Three year old and Toddler programs. This has made it a easy transition for me to begin my future here. I have earned my Associate’s Degree in Child Development and a Liberal Arts Degree from Delta College, as well as my CDA from Washington DC. I am also pursuing a Special Education Certification. I am very active in Girl Scouts USA, my church’s youth functions, I volunteer for the American Cancer Society and our family is very active in Relay For Life. There is never a dull moment at our house as our children are also very active and participate in a number of activities (currently band, drama, football, and cheerleading). We are very blessed. I look forward to getting to know you and your family.
